About the Symposium
Vegetables Production and Quality and Process Standardization in Chain: a Worldwide Perspective (Vege2008Beijing, www.bvrc.com.cn/Vege2008Beijing), will be held this October 14--17 at Beijing Conference Center in Beijing, China and will cover various special topics of major vegetable crops over 3 days. A meeting after each morning and afternoon session will bring you and others together for informal, in-depth discussion on certain issues.

History of the Symposium
The International Symposium on Vegetable Safety and Human Health was successfully held in Beijing, China on August 21-23, 2006. The participants and the organizers considered the symposium a great success. Dr. Silvana Nicola, the chairperson of Section Vegetables and Prof. Wilfried Schnitzler, the chairperson of Commission Plant Substrates and Soilless Culture, suggested organizing the next symposium in 2008 in Beijing. The Section Vegetables and the Commission Plant Substrates and Soilless Culture of ISHS are the sponsors of the symposium Vege2008Beijing. The Commission Quality and Post Harvest Horticulture also supports the symposium. |
